About Your Fishing Guide David Tate
David grew up around the waters of Sweeting’s Cay. A quaint little settlement in East Grand Bahama. This is where he developed a love for fishing at an early age, which led him to become a first generation Fishing Guide.
David has over two decades of experience from working at lodges such as Deep Water Cay Lodge where he first began his flyfishing journey. He also worked at the Grand Bahama Bonefishing (the Pinder brothers who imparted on him a wealth of knowledge). David also worked at the Abaco Lodge where he worked as Head Guide for nine years fishing the Marls of Abaco. Lastly, he has also worked North Riding Point Fishing Club. His many years of experience has taught him the patience needed for this career, and the vast knowledge of the flats of Grand Bahama as well as the Abaco Islands.
